Countdown to Practicum
The final week of classes before practicum is wrapping up, and I'm excited to spend four weeks at Runnymede P.S. with my associate teacher, John Fraser. I'll be teaching fifteen different music classes on rotary, ranging from grade 2/3 recorder to band in the intermediate grades.
I start next week with the grade eights. I figure I should go for the oldest, and potentially most difficult age group at the start of my practicum, so I jump right into it and have to be very engaged. I still need to do some more score study and draw out a simple lesson plan, but a lot of this depends on what Mr. Fraser accomplishes with the classes this week.
I can't wait to get started, it should be a lot of fun!
